The automotive industry is undergoing a major transformation driven by technology, regulation, and increasing demand for sustainable solutions. Drivers of Change, a research-led report exploring consumer attitudes toward New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) across Asia Pacific and Latin America, reveals how global trends are shaped by local realities.

“We believe the future of mobility must be globally coordinated yet locally delivered. Drivers of Change highlights that this shift is not just about technology—it’s about people. By listening to consumers, we can help build a more inclusive and sustainable mobility future. ”

Inchcape’s role in a people-centered transport system in Singapore

Singapore

To support Singapore’s move towards a more sustainable and inclusive transport system, Inchcape held strategic discussions with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) to align on upcoming regulations for private hire and shared transport, and the future of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). Inchcape also met with SP Group, Singapore’s leading EV charging network developer, focused on sharing insights around the evolving EV ecosystem.

Through its OEM partnerships, Inchcape is committed to offering a broad range of EVs to support Singapore’s electrification goals, ensuring accessible and sustainable transport for all.

Supporting Chile’s Transition to Zero-Emission Mobility

Chile

As Chile’s automotive market leader—with 25% overall market share and 27% in NEV sales—Inchcape is playing a pivotal role in advancing sustainable mobility. However, with BEV penetration still under 4%, achieving national climate goals remains a challenge.

To support a realistic and inclusive transition, Inchcape partnered with a third-party consultancy to develop a white paper for the Ministry of Energy, offering tailored policy recommendations based on global best practices and local conditions. Key focus areas include:

  • Expanding charging infrastructure, especially in remote areas
  • Incentivizing EV adoption through non-monetary benefits
  • Maintaining policy flexibility for hybrids and low-emission vehicles
  • Investing in education and workforce training for the EV ecosystem

By leveraging its market expertise and global reach, Inchcape is helping shape the roadmap toward zero-emission mobility in Chile.
