Our team is seeking Paint & Body Quality Inspector, responsible for performing diagnosis, repairs, maintenance and installation work to vehicles ensuring adherence to standards, policies and procedures and providing exceptional customer satisfaction. What you’ll do
- Quality control areas of repair including obvious damage and missing major parts and components.
- Inspect vehicles for loose or misaligned items such as trim, doors, and hardware etc.
- Inspect surfaces to detect minor chips and scratches in paint.
- Touch up imperfections using brush applicator and factory-supplied matching paint.
- Assist Body Shop personnel to diagnose and rectify defects with customers’ vehicles.
- Work closely with Body Shop Foreman to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Work closely with detailers to ensure quality finishes.
- Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Test drive (when necessary) ensures that faults, discrepancies etc. are noted and quality control sheet signed.
- Report any safety issues immediately to management.
- Keep a professional appearance and neat work area.
- Perform other reasonable and related duties as assigned by the Paint & Body Shop Management.
About you
To be successful in this role you’ll be
- At least three (3) CXC level passes including Mathematics and English at grade 2 or higher
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in quality assurance or similar role
- Technical knowledge and experience in Paint & Body Shop repairs
- Computer literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Exceptional professionalism, communication and interpersonal skills with a proven passion for customer service and customer satisfaction
- Highly detail-oriented and meticulous ensuring thorough and precise work
- Ability to prioritize while managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines and exceed expectations
