Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Lead and oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Drive variance analysis, trend reporting, and scenario planning to improve performance outcomes.
• Present actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Operational Finance & Performance Monitoring
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to develop mechanisms that support business performance.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflect business health and profitability.
• Lead performance reviews, highlighting opportunities and risks.
Commercial Support & Decision Intelligence
• Provide analytical support for pricing strategies, cost-to-serve models, and revenue enhancement initiatives.
• Support investment case development and evaluation of new business opportunities.
• Translate complex financial and commercial data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders.
Process Leadership & Continuous Improvement
• Enhance financial planning, reporting and analytics processes, increasing quality, timeliness and efficiency.
• Drive adoption of tools and technologies that improve accuracy and insight generation (e.g., BI platforms).
• Ensure robust controls and consistency in financial practices.
Team Development & Leadership
• Build, mentor and lead the commercial finance team, promoting a performance-focused culture.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and elevate finance as a strategic business partner function.
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Professional Credentials
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
Experience
• Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in financial planning and analysis, commercial finance, or finance leadership.
• Experience in a multinational environment and exposure to automotive, retail or distribution sectors is an advantage.
Skills
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, able to influence at senior levels.
• Deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, reporting and performance management.
• Proficiency with ERP and BI tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Tableau).
