We Celebrate Mechanic's Day

Mechanic

  • The company honours the automotive mechanics who provide services at over 100 workshops across the region.

On the occasion of World Mechanic Day, celebrated on 24 February in several Latin American countries, Inchcape pays tribute to all the professionals who, with their knowledge and dedication, ensure the optimal performance and safety of vehicles in Latin America. This year, the company especially highlights the fundamental role of its team, which provides services at over 100 workshops across the region, taking responsibility for the transition towards more sustainable mobility.

As the automotive industry evolves with hybrid and electric technologies, mechanics are presented with new challenges and opportunities. Inchcape, a global leader in automotive distribution, is committed to leading this transformation alongside its technicians and colleagues.

Laura Viegas, Director of Communications and Sustainability at Inchcape Americas, commented: “The commitment of our mechanics not only guarantees the safety and efficiency of vehicles but also supports our goal of being a facilitator of sustainable development in Latin America. We deeply value their adaptability and continuous learning in this dynamic technological environment.”

In alignment with its sustainability strategy, Inchcape has implemented professional development programmes and technical certification in electromobility, ensuring that its teams are prepared for the future of the industry. The company also collaborates with educational institutions such as Duoc UC in Chile and Senati in Peru to encourage interest in technical careers related to the automotive industry.

On this Mechanic’s Day, Inchcape reaffirms its commitment to the professional growth and well-being of its employees, recognising them as the driving force behind the trust and quality in every service.
