Volvo Cars opens its eighth branch in Chile

  • With this opening, the Scandinavian brand expands its service network under the Volvo Retail Experience standard, bringing its 100% electric vision to key regions of Chile.

Volvo Cars Chile, together with its distributor Inchcape and its regional business partner, Servimaq, continues to advance its electromobility strategy, this time with the opening of a new branch in the city of Osorno. Covering 850 square metres, the newly inaugurated facility includes areas dedicated to specialised technical services for electrified vehicles, electric chargers on-site, a digital configuration zone, and a Scandinavian-style waiting lounge. This new service point addresses a specific need: bringing electric mobility to the regions and decentralising access to cutting-edge, clean technologies.

“Today, more than 80% of electric cars in Chile are sold in the Metropolitan Region. The opening of our branch in Osorno is a tangible example of how we are transforming our network to support the growth of electromobility across Chile. We want every customer, in different regions, to access an electric Volvo with the same quality of service, advice, and technology. This is a key step in democratising electromobility in the regions,” said Rodrigo Espinoza, General Manager of Volvo Cars Chile.

This new service centre is part of the Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) concept, a global standard of the brand that transforms service and sales spaces into more technological, human, and sustainable environments, designed to offer customers a comprehensive, sustainable, and personalised experience. “For us, being part of this project is both an honour and a great responsibility. With this new branch, we aim to bring the Los Lagos Region closer to electromobility and the premium experience we already deliver in Concepción with Volvo Cars. We firmly believe that cities like Osorno will not only be part of this transformation but will lead the shift towards more sustainable and conscious mobility,” said Mauricio Fuenzalida, Country Manager of Grupo Americar, the holding company to which Servimaq belongs.

The Osorno branch is part of Volvo Cars' expansion plan in Chile, which includes the renovation or opening of 11 service points under the VRE model by the end of 2025. This marks the eighth point in Volvo's network across the country, with three more to be added soon — in the north and south of the country — completing a service network of nearly 10,000 square metres.

“We know that many users are ready to take the step towards electromobility, but they need infrastructure, technical support, and guidance. This new branch is precisely designed to meet those needs. We want customers in the south not only to access our electric cars but also to experience the full Volvo journey: from purchase to after-sales service,” added Espinoza.

In addition to showcasing the brand's complete range of plug-in models, including the newly arrived EX90, the new branch features a team of advisors and technicians trained in electric mobility, certified after-sales service, and the opportunity to conduct test drives on local routes to explore the features and benefits of electrified vehicles in depth.

The opening of this branch also reflects Volvo's positioning in Chile, not only as a sales leader but also in its commitment: as of this year, its portfolio in Chile is 100% plug-in. In fact, the Volvo EX30 leads cumulative sales up to May as the best-selling electric model of 2025, with 236 units registered by the end of May, while the XC60 remains the best-selling plug-in hybrid of the year, with 170 units sold to date.

Volvo Cars Chile offers all customers who purchase an electrified vehicle the installation of a Wallbox home charger at their residence (covering more than 85% of charging opportunities) as well as the Volvo Recharge Pack, which includes up to 800 kWh of free charging on the Copec Voltex network for one year.
