  • The Japanese brand sold 5,647 units during the first three months of the year, achieving a market share of 8.0%.

According to the latest report from the National Automotive Association of Chile (ANAC), Suzuki — a brand distributed by Inchcape in the country — led the sales of new light and medium vehicles for the third consecutive month, after selling 1,938 units and achieving an 8.1% market share in March.

This figure represents an 8.7% growth for the brand compared to February 2025 and a 27.7% increase versus March 2024.

In the passenger segment, Suzuki maintained its historic leadership and recorded a 10.4% growth compared to the previous month, after selling 1,269 units and achieving a 29.1% market share.

Additionally, the Hamamatsu-based company also performed well in the SUV segment, selling 667 units and recording a 6.7% growth compared to February 2025. This placed Suzuki in fifth position in the category with a 5.5% market share.

In this way, Suzuki also expanded its leadership in cumulative sales during the first quarter of the year, reaching an 8.0% market share with 5,647 units sold. This figure also represents a 28.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Key to this strong performance are models like the Baleno, the sales leader in the passenger segment, which, along with the Swift, Celerio, S-Presso, and Alto, rank among the top 20 best-selling models in the category. Together, they achieved a 27.5% market share with 3,650 units sold during the first quarter of 2025.

Equally important has been the positive reception of models such as the Fronx Hybrid and Jimny in the SUV segment, where Suzuki recorded 1,977 units sold and a 5.6% market share, positioning itself as the fifth brand in the overall cumulative ranking for the category.

This result aligns with the brand's strategy, which, through the introduction of products like the Fronx Hybrid, Grand Vitara Hybrid, and Jimny, aims to strengthen its presence in the SUV segment while maintaining its historic leadership in the passenger segment. Always offering products of great value and market acceptance.

“We are extremely happy and proud to close this challenging first quarter of the year as market leaders. This demonstrates the trust our customers have in the brand, our strategy, and our commitment to offering quality vehicles that are efficient and designed to meet their diverse needs,” said Christian Renner, General Manager of Suzuki Chile.
