  • On the occasion of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, Inchcape Americas reaffirms its commitment to the comprehensive well-being of its teams and to building safe and sustainable work environments across the region.

For Inchcape, a safe work environment is not just a condition, it is a principle. In the month commemorating the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the company acknowledges the progress, challenges, and lessons that have shaped its management in this area over the past year, consolidating a culture of prevention, care, and operational excellence in the 14 countries where it operates in the region.

“At Inchcape Americas, we believe that leading the future of mobility involves much more than technology and efficiency: it starts with taking care of people. On World Day for Safety and Health at Work, we reaffirm our commitment to safe, inclusive, and resilient work environments, where every employee can reach their full potential and return home safe and sound. This conviction is at the heart of our global Accelerate+ strategy and reflects our vision of responsible growth in Latin America, where the well-being of our people is as important as the innovation we promote,” explains Ismael Salazar, HSE Manager of Inchcape Americas.

A year of safety achievements

Over the past year, Inchcape Americas has achieved significant milestones in occupational health and safety, including:

  • Implementation of the electromobility program, with training and protocols to safely operate new technologies.
  • Execution of the first safety culture survey, with action plans by country.
  • Deployment of 12 critical risk programs, including training and long-term audits.
  • Historic investment in HSE, the highest so far in the region.

Adaptation, integration, and local leadership

In a multicultural and diverse context, the HSE area has faced significant challenges, including the integration of newly acquired companies and the harmonization of standards in markets with different regulatory frameworks. “We have addressed this by strengthening regional communication, promoting the exchange of best practices, and empowering local leaders to embody and convey our safety culture, because we believe that safety is the right path,” the executive details.

Additionally, the company promotes initiatives such as Working Alone, Road Safety, active breaks, healthy eating campaigns, and emotional well-being meetings, understanding that physical, mental, and emotional care are part of the same strategy. Furthermore, the month of April has been established as HSE AMERICAS MONTH, where each country launches campaigns and activities focused on strengthening the culture of prevention.
