In line with its global strategy to lead the transition towards more sustainable mobility, Inchcape strengthens its presence in the Peruvian market by incorporating new hybrid models into its portfolio. This initiative aims to offer consumers in the country more efficient and environmentally friendly transport options, facilitating access to new energy vehicle (NEV) technologies tailored to local needs.
The expansion of the hybrid portfolio responds to the growing demand for mobility solutions that combine performance, efficiency, and reduced environmental impact. Inchcape, as a leading distributor in the region, recognises the importance of offering vehicles that align with global trends towards the decarbonisation of transport while remaining accessible and practical for the Peruvian market.
On this occasion, Inchcape launches the new Suzuki Swift Smart Hybrid and the Renault Arkana E-Tech in the country, two models that represent a concrete step towards cleaner mobility without compromising performance. The Swift features a 12V SHVS mild hybrid system (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki), ideal for urban travel, with a compact design, fuel efficiency, and state-of-the-art driver assistance technology. Meanwhile, the Renault Arkana model arrives as the brand's first hybrid SUV in Peru, equipped with the E-Tech system delivering 140 hp, which combines an electric motor with a 1.3 Turbo combustion engine, offering an agile, comfortable driving experience with lower fuel consumption. Both models are available across the entire Derco Center network in the country.
With these actions, Inchcape reaffirms its leadership in the automotive sector and its commitment to sustainability, actively contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions and the development of cleaner and more efficient mobility solutions in Peru and across the region.
