María Isabel Aguirre assumes a key role at Inchcape as the first woman to lead the northern Central American markets

Inchcape Americas, the leading independent automotive distributor in the region, continues to advance its growth strategy in Latin America and its commitment to diverse and inclusive leadership. In this context, the company announced the appointment of María Isabel Aguirre as the new General Manager for the markets of Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras, driving the representation of local and female talent by becoming the first woman to lead Inchcape's operations in this region and the second to achieve a position of this magnitude in the Americas markets.

Since June, María Isabel has been leading the operations of the three countries that make up northern Central America. “This appointment represents a strategic opportunity to accelerate inchcape's growth in the region alongside our OEM partners, strengthening the value proposition, enhancing the customer experience, developing team talent, and leveraging the best practices of a global company like Inchcape,” stated the executive.

With a background in Business Administration and an MBA from Francisco Marroquín University, María Isabel brings over 18 years of experience in multinational companies such as Philip Morris and PepsiCo, standing out for her focus on impactful execution and driving commercial transformations centred on people, efficiency, and sustainable results.

Our ambition is to build a stronger and more connected Inchcape in Latin America, capable of offering more sustainable and accessible mobility solutions to all our customers. María Isabel's leadership will contribute to consolidating this vision in the region, providing a strategic perspective and a deep understanding of local markets, two essential factors to accelerate our growth in the Americas under the framework of our Accelerate+ strategy,” explained Marco García, Managing Director of the markets that make up MACAM at Inchcape Americas (Argentina, Mercedes Benz Colombia, Uruguay, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala).

Inchcape continues to position itself as the leading independent automotive distributor in Latin America, committed to increasingly sustainable mobility, a customer-centric value proposition, and the development of a culture based on collaboration, diversity, and operational excellence.
