Inchcape Chile and Copec Voltex forge a strategic alliance to accelerate more sustainable mobility in the country

  • The agreement between these two leaders in the automotive and energy sectors aims to simplify the adoption of electric vehicles by integrating sales, home charging, and specialised consultancy into a connected and sustainable experience.

Today, electrified vehicles already account for more than 10% of sales in Chile, consolidating a trend that demands more accessible and connected solutions for users. Inchcape and Copec Voltex announce a strategic alliance that marks a new milestone for sustainable mobility in the country. This agreement seeks to facilitate, drive, and democratise access to electromobility, combining the global automotive expertise of Inchcape, the world's leading independent distributor operating in over 40 markets, with Copec Voltex's charging infrastructure and technological solutions, under a shared purpose: connecting people with cleaner, more accessible, and high-quality mobility.

Through this agreement, those who choose an electric vehicle from Inchcape brands will have preferential access to the installation of home chargers, receive personalised energy consultancy, and enjoy exclusive benefits within the Copec Voltex ecosystem. All in a single process, designed to ease the transition and enhance the experience from purchase to daily charging.

“This alliance is a concrete step towards making an impact in the industry and driving more sustainable mobility in the country. We want electromobility to stop being a promise and become a tangible and close experience for people”, adds Jorge Maldonado, Managing Director of Inchcape Chile.

The collaboration includes technical and commercial training for Inchcape teams, joint marketing activations, and the participation of Copec Voltex in the launches of new electric and plug-in hybrid models from Inchcape brands. Additionally, the agreement opens the possibility of installing information and advertising related to chargers in showrooms and workshops, creating direct contact with new users and distribution channels.

At Copec Voltex, we are very pleased to have signed this alliance with Inchcape on such a special date as World Electric Vehicle Day, as together we reaffirm our commitment to advancing towards more sustainable, clean, efficient, and environmentally friendly mobility”, highlights Andrea Castro, General Manager of Copec Voltex.
