- The company reinforces its commitment to gender equity and diversity through regional programmes such as Women into Leadership, the partnership with WIAS (Women in the Automotive Sector), and various technical training and mentoring initiatives that promote the professional growth of women in the region.
Inchcape Americas reaffirms its commitment to female empowerment and equal opportunities, driving multiple actions to promote the participation and leadership of women at all levels of the organisation and within the automotive industry.
Across the region, Inchcape has established a comprehensive diversity agenda aimed at creating opportunities for professional and technical development for women. Among the key initiatives is the Women into Leadership programme, which prepares women for their next professional step, with more than 30 colleagues in Latin America having already graduated from the programme.
Additionally, in Peru, Inchcape recently joined WIAS (Women in the Automotive Sector), a non-profit association that brings together representatives from various automotive companies committed to promoting female talent and encouraging young women to pursue careers related to the sector.
In Bolivia, where Inchcape is part of the UN Women accelerator programme, the RedMujeres IN initiative drives the development and leadership of female colleagues in technical and service areas. In Uruguay, the partnership with Casa de la Mujer de la Unión supports the training of women in automotive mechanics.
“Diversity and equity are essential pillars of our culture. We want to continue creating spaces where women can fully develop, contribute their talent, and lead the transformation of the automotive industry,” highlighted Ximena Rodríguez, Sustainability Manager of Inchcape Americas.
As part of this agenda, Inchcape Chile will host the discussion panel “Purposeful Careers: Women Leading Their Development” on Thursday, 20 November, at BMW La Dehesa, moderated by Soledad Onetto. The event brought together more than 120 women from the internal network of colleagues to reflect on career development, the challenges of female leadership, and tools to strengthen self-confidence and balance in constantly changing environments.
With a presence in 14 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean and more than 6,500 colleagues in the region, Inchcape continues to build an inclusive and diverse culture that drives female talent and promotes a more equitable, innovative, and sustainable automotive industry.
