Great Wall Motor (GWM) continues to strengthen its presence in Colombia with the arrival of two new models designed to meet diverse customer needs: the POER, a robust and versatile pickup tailored for work and adventure, and the HAVAL H7, a hybrid SUV that combines efficiency, power, and technology. Both launches are carried out in partnership with Inchcape, a global automotive group and the official distributor of GWM in the country.
The POER is available in two versions. The Passengers version is focused on delivering a driving experience closer to that of an SUV, featuring a 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine (181 hp and 480 Nm), an 8-speed automatic transmission, and 4×4 traction. It includes a comprehensive driver assistance package (ADAS), a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a surround sound system.
Meanwhile, the Commercial version is aimed at productive sectors, equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine (161 hp and 400 Nm), a 6-speed manual gearbox, and 4×4 traction, along with a reinforced structure and functional equipment that ensures comfort and durability under demanding conditions. Both versions share an imposing design, good ground clearance, and off-road capabilities, adapted to Colombia's geography.
“With the new POER, GWM reinforces its commitment to drivers seeking a versatile, durable, and well-equipped pickup. This model strikes a balance between performance, comfort, and functionality, offering options suited for both everyday use and work challenges”, said Manuel Perilla, brand manager of GWM for Colombia.
On the other hand, the new HAVAL H7 aligns with the brand's electrification strategy. This self-charging hybrid SUV combines a 1.5-litre turbo engine with an electric motor, delivering 243 hp and 530 Nm of torque, alongside an optimised dual-speed automatic transmission for energy efficiency. Its modern design is complemented by a high-standard interior: a 12.3-inch screen, panoramic roof, premium materials, wireless charger, and surround sound system. In terms of safety, it features an ADAS package with autonomous emergency braking, collision alert, lane-keeping assistance, 360° cameras, and adaptive cruise control.
“With the new HAVAL H7, GWM continues to consolidate its intelligent and sustainable mobility offering in Colombia. This model not only aligns with global trends towards more efficient driving but also raises the market standard with a premium experience at a competitive price”, added Perilla.
GWM, in partnership with Inchcape, reaffirms its commitment to more efficient mobility tailored to the demands of the Colombian market. Both models are available nationwide through dealerships and service centres, ensuring post-sale support, technical assistance, and a seamless brand experience.
