- The study, which measures the closeness, trust, and relevance of brands to people, positioned Derco as the best-rated dealership in Chile, highlighting its service, reputation, and connection with consumers.
Derco, the retail brand of Inchcape in Chile, was recognised as the leader in the Dealerships category in the latest edition of the Cadem Citizen Brands Ranking, one of the country’s most significant studies on emotional connection, trust, and social contribution of brands.
Inchcape is the world’s largest independent automotive distributor, with a presence on five continents and operations in 14 countries across Latin America. It represents over 40 vehicle and machinery brands, supporting its customers throughout the entire mobility cycle — from purchase and financing to aftersales and resale — through high-standard technology, data, and services.
In Chile, Derco represents a multi-brand portfolio including Suzuki, Mazda, Renault, GWM (Haval, Poer, Tank, and Ora), Changan Group (Changan, Deepal, and Avatr), and DFSK, offering a wide range of mobility solutions for various segments and needs. Additionally, it boasts one of the most extensive service networks in the country, with over 100 locations across Chile, reinforcing its territorial presence and its ability to stay close to people at every stage of their mobility experience.
This recognition reflects the company’s efforts to enhance customer experience, deliver excellent services, and maintain a close and transparent relationship with the communities where it operates. It also reinforces Derco’s role as the primary point of contact for Inchcape with Chilean consumers and confirms the positive perception of the public. The result validates the commitment to delivering reliable, accessible, and high-quality mobility experiences through a multi-brand portfolio, diverse in origins, technologies, and energy solutions, to meet the needs of every customer.
“Derco is a highly valued brand among consumers. Its closeness makes it a strategic asset within our portfolio and the retail brand we rely on for our mainstream brands. As the automotive retail brand of Inchcape, Derco is also how we directly engage with Chilean consumers, making this recognition particularly significant. This achievement reaffirms its leadership and motivates us to continue strengthening its role within the Inchcape ecosystem,” stated Jorge Maldonado, Managing Director of Inchcape.
In this edition, the study evaluated key dimensions such as trust, social contribution, transparency, service quality, and emotional connection, elements that are central today for brands seeking to build sustainable relationships with their consumers. In this context, Derco’s leadership in the Dealerships category is a direct result of the value people place on the brand. Its closeness, ability to understand consumer needs, and contribution to the country translate into a relationship of trust that naturally drives its market performance.
For his part, José Gili, Director of Retail & Network, highlighted: “This recognition is a direct result of the work of our entire dealership network. They are the ones who build trust-based relationships with people, delivering a close and committed service. Being recognised as a Citizen Brand demonstrates that our contribution goes beyond sales: we accompany our customers at every stage of their mobility and daily lives.”
The ranking highlights the impact of the transformation strategy that Derco has been driving in recent years, focused on strengthening its branch network, improving service processes, and expanding its service offerings. This has enabled the consolidation of a closer, more modern relationship model aimed at supporting customers throughout their entire mobility experience, reaffirming Derco’s role as a benchmark in the sector.
“At Derco Center, we are building a brand that simplifies people’s experiences by integrating sales, technical service, accessories, financing, and complementary solutions in one place. We know there is still much to do, and that’s why we are committed to continuous improvement. This recognition drives us to continue developing an increasingly comprehensive and valuable experience for our customers,” explained Anita Jaramillo, Marketing Manager of Derco Center.
The award ceremony took place this Tuesday in Santiago and was attended by representatives of the leading brands in each category, as well as the Cadem team and industry experts.
With this distinction, Derco consolidates its leadership and reaffirms its commitment to delivering an integral, human, and excellent experience, becoming a benchmark for the automotive industry and for brands seeking to build genuine closeness with people.
