Mazda Chile introduces the All-New CX-90

CX-90

With the firm goal of becoming a premium brand by 2030, Mazda unveiled its most exclusive new vehicle during the Experiencia E Fair: the All-New CX-90.

The new flagship model of the Japanese brand debuts in a single Signature MHEV (Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle) version and is equipped with the most powerful production engine in Mazda's history—a turbocharged 3.3-liter inline six-cylinder engine paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system (MHEV), delivering 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 4,500 rpm.

This SUV shares design lines with its smaller sibling, the CX-60, but features more generous dimensions, a third row of seats, a spacious cabin, and a trunk capacity of up to 608 liters.

This SUV boasts an elegant and sophisticated design, generous proportions, an imposing and dynamic look. It features LED lights, a curvaceous silhouette, 21-inch alloy wheels, and other elements that highlight its premium appearance.

In terms of design, the Mazda All-New CX-90 was created under the concept of "less is more," prioritizing a pleasurable journey for both the driver and passengers. It includes, among other features, a 12-inch Mazda Connect screen with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a Bose sound system with 12 speakers, tri-zone climate control, a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof with electric opening, a hands-free power tailgate, power-adjustable front seats with heating and cooling functions, and a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel with Paddle Shift.

Regarding safety, it includes advanced driving aids such as the I-Activesense system, adaptive cruise control with Stop&Go, blind spot monitoring, rear/front cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and emergency braking assist.

“The All-New Mazda CX-90 is our new flagship model and our second vehicle developed for the premium segment. It is an imposing SUV that immediately catches the eye with its KODO design, but it also offers an exceptional driving experience thanks to the brand's most powerful engine and an AWD system that primarily operates as if it were a rear-wheel-drive vehicle. This is complemented by comprehensive safety and comfort features, which is why we believe it will be a great success in the Chilean market, just as it has been in the U.S., where it is one of the candidates for the 'Car of the Year' award,” said Jaime Garín, Mazda Chile's manager.

The All-New Mazda CX-90 in its Signature MHEV version is now available at a price of $59,990,000 and in five colors: the mentioned Artisan Red, and the shades Crystal Red, Metallic Silver, Metallic Gray, and Crystal White.

Its warranty, meanwhile, is three years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, while sales expectations for 2023 aim to sell 50 units.
