Subaru Australia supports MaD Garage Girls on Track Internship

We are thrilled to announce that Aimee Hyde has been awarded the MaD Garage Girls on Track internship, proudly supported by Subaru Australia! This opportunity is just one way Inchcape Australasia is DrivingWhatMatters and bringing to life our dedication to creating a more inclusive and diverse automotive industry.

Through our support of this internship, Aimee will gain invaluable experience in communications, marketing, and events within the automotive industry. Not only that, but she will also have the incredible opportunity to attend four rounds of the Australian Rally Championship alongside Subaru Australia ambassador Molly Taylor. We’re delighted to help provide Aimee exposure to just some of the countless avenues within the automotive sector in which she can explore and build a career.

Congratulations, Aimee! We can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll accomplish during this internship and beyond.

At the time of opening applications for the internship, Taylor, who is also a FIA Girls on Track Ambassador, expressed her excitement about the opportunity.

“I’m incredibly proud to bring this scholarship to life. It’s an idea I’ve been passionate about for a while, and seeing it come to fruition is a special moment,” Taylor said.

“With the support of Subaru Australia and Motorsport Australia, we’re able to put action behind our words and hopefully be a part of someone’s successful motorsport journey, inspiring more to join us in the automotive industry.”

Managing Director of Subaru Australia, Blair Read, emphasised Subaru Australia’s support of the program.

“Subaru Australia is proud to support Molly in this program for FIA Girls on Track,” Read added.

“We’re passionate about encouraging greater diversity in the automotive industry, and we’re delighted to help provide one lucky participant exposure to just some of the countless avenues within the automotive sector in which you can explore and build a career.”

FIA Girls on Track Ambassador Jess Dane was highly supportive of the project and the opportunity it presents.

“This is an incredibly exciting project that presents a broad variety of opportunities,” Dane explained.

“The right candidate should be able to absolutely grasp this with both hands and run because they will gain so much knowledge and have such a fun time while doing it.

“Between Molly, one of the best rally drivers in the world, and Subaru, a globally prestigious brand, the successful girl will be able to add some seriously impressive skills and contacts to her CV. Plus, it will undoubtedly be an absolute blast.”
