Xpeng arrives in Colombia

In partnership with Inchcape, the brand unveiled the G6 and G9 models during its launch, aiming to revolutionise the Colombian market through the integration of Artificial Intelligence for remote autonomous parking, semi-autonomous driving, remote climate control, and other functions managed via mobile phone.

The technology company Xpeng officially entered the Colombian market with a focus on smart mobility and the evolution of the vehicle as a digital platform. Unlike the traditional approach of the automotive sector, the company’s proposal centres on the development of proprietary software, permanent connectivity, and remote functionality updates as integral parts of the product.

“The Colombian market is entering a new stage of smart mobility adoption, where users no longer compare just autonomy or power, but also digital experience, useful technology, connectivity, and long-term operating costs. With Xpeng, we aim to deliver a fully enabled technological offering from day one, designed to operate under the real conditions of the country,” said Nicolás Muñoz, Brand Manager of Xpeng in Colombia.

One of the pillars of this proposal is the integration between the vehicle and the brand’s mobile application, which allows key car functions to be managed remotely. These include a digital key, remote ignition and climate control, charging scheduling and monitoring, vehicle location, remote parking functions, and the option to exit tight parking spaces for easy access.

“The arrival of Xpeng represents another step in consolidating the Inchcape Group as a leader in the automotive sector in Colombia, alongside top-tier partners like Xpeng, who deeply understand the challenges and opportunities of the Colombian market. This partnership reinforces our commitment to innovation, sustainable mobility, and delivering world-class value propositions tailored to the expectations of an increasingly demanding and connected consumer,” commented Héctor Corredor, Managing Director of the Northern Andean Cluster of the Inchcape Group.

G6 and G9: artificial intelligence, advanced safety, and long-range autonomy

Xpeng arrives in Colombia with two electric SUVs: the G6 and the G9. The G6 is available in two versions: the Air, with a 248 HP motor, 68 kWh LFP battery, and up to 455 km of autonomy (WLTP), at a suggested retail price of COP149,990,000; and the Pro, with 292 HP, 80 kWh, and up to 520 km of autonomy, at a suggested retail price of COP182,990,000. The G9 AWD Performance Pro offers dual motors with a combined 567 HP, a 94.6 kWh battery, up to 540 km of autonomy, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, at a suggested retail price of COP254,990,000.

Both models use CCS2 fast charging, capable of charging from 10% to 80% in 12 minutes with compatible chargers1.

In terms of onboard technology, both models feature the advanced XPILOT 2.5 system, which combines 360° vision cameras and over 14 sensors to offer assistance such as adaptive cruise control on curves, lane centring and tracking, as well as autonomous parking. Additional features include Dashcam and Sentinel Mode, enhancing safety and active surveillance standards at all times.

For connectivity, the vehicles are equipped with a 10.25” digital display for driving information and a high-resolution central screen of 15.6” in the G6 and 14.9” in the G9, from which comfort functions, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, and voice control via the intelligent assistant ‘Hey XPeng’ are managed. The XPeng G9 further elevates the experience by incorporating intelligent air suspension and a third 14.9” screen dedicated to the co-pilot, designed for multimedia enjoyment during the journey.

This ecosystem is complemented by Over The Air (OTA) software updates, enabling improvements in assistance systems, energy management, entertainment, and performance without requiring visits to service centres.
