volvo-ecuador Inchcape, the world’s leading independent automotive distributor, announces the return of Volvo to the Ecuadorian market and launches the pre-sale phase of the brand in the country, available through volvo-ecuador. Starting in August, Volvo will have two showrooms for vehicle display, sales, and customer service, located in Quito and Cumbayá. Additionally, the company plans to open its first dealership in the capital by the end of 2026.

The premium Swedish brand, globally recognised for its focus on safety, innovation, electrification, and sustainability, begins a new chapter in Ecuador under the representation of Inchcape, as part of the company’s growth strategy and its commitment to strengthening its premium offering in the country.

Volvo’s return comes at a time when the Ecuadorian premium segment is more mature. Consumers are increasingly informed, conduct more in-depth comparisons of available options, and value attributes such as safety, technology, efficiency, and sustainability, alongside a strong brand experience and reliable post-purchase support.

During this pre-sale phase, the models EX30, EX40, EC40, XC60, and XC90 will be available. The portfolio includes 100% electric and plug-in hybrid options, catering to different lifestyles: from those seeking a compact SUV for urban mobility, with autonomy, fast charging, and design, to those prioritising performance, versatility, comfort, and family space.

This offering will address various needs within the premium segment, with vehicles designed for daily city commutes as well as trips, family activities, and long-distance journeys. In this way, Volvo meets the demands of consumers seeking more efficient and technological mobility solutions without compromising comfort, functionality, and the driving experience.

To support the brand’s return, Inchcape will develop a comprehensive operation that combines local market knowledge, specialised consultancy, commercial attention, technical support, after-sales service, and spare parts availability. This structure will ensure a consistent experience from the selection and purchase process to the various stages of vehicle use and maintenance.

Currently, Inchcape’s portfolio in Ecuador includes brands from various segments of the automotive sector, such as Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, smart, Subaru, Western Star, Freightliner, and Forland. The arrival of Volvo further strengthens its premium offering and reaffirms its ability to represent and develop global automotive brands in the Ecuadorian market.

“With Volvo’s return, we continue to strengthen our operations in Ecuador and reaffirm the trust that global brands have placed in Inchcape’s ability to develop high-potential markets. Ecuador is a key market for our regional operations, and we see

significant opportunities to continue growing with a differentiated premium offering, supported by our local expertise, commercial capabilities, and comprehensive after-sales service,” said Héctor Corredor, Managing Director of Inchcape Colombia and Ecuador.

For Ecuadorian consumers, this new phase will mean greater access to premium electrified, safe, and technological options, accompanied by specialised consultancy and solid long-term support. At the same time, Inchcape reaffirms its commitment to Ecuador and continues to strengthen its role as a strategic partner for global automotive brands in Latin America.
