Inchcape Brunei has announced that Imperial Motors, a joint venture established earlier this year to support the company's long-term growth and future distribution opportunities, has been appointed as the authorised distributor of XPENG in Brunei.
The appointment is another example of Inchcape's Accelerate+ strategy in action, building a diversified, multi-brand business that gives customers more choice while continuing to be the partner of choice for leading OEMs.
Following the appointment of Subaru in July 2026 as the first brand under Imperial Motors, XPENG represents the next step in expanding the company's automotive portfolio through strategic OEM partnerships.
The addition of XPENG complements Inchcape Brunei's range by introducing XPENG's intelligent electric mobility solutions to the local market, giving customers greater choice and supporting the country's evolving mobility landscape.
Alex Hammett, Managing Director, South Asia & Pacific, Inchcape, said: "The appointment of XPENG reflects our continued commitment to growing our business through strong OEM partnerships while meeting the evolving needs of our customers. It is another important step in delivering our long-term growth strategy, expanding customer choice and offering a wider range of sustainable mobility solutions in Brunei.”
Haji Ahmad, President of Inchcape Brunei, said: “We are delighted to welcome XPENG to Brunei through Imperial Motors. This partnership introduces an innovative electric mobility brand to Brunei, giving our customers access to new mobility solutions, and we're committed to delivering the trusted sales and aftersales experience our customers have come to expect from Inchcape Brunei.”
