Juan Camilo Cardona, lead technician at Inchcape Colombia, shared his inspiring 13-year journey within the company and how he became a benchmark in his field.
Over a decade ago, at just 23 years old, Juan Camilo joined Inchcape to complete his professional internship as a mechanical workshop apprentice. He brought with him all the dreams of a recent graduate, and thanks to his discipline and commitment, he stayed with the company.
Throughout these years, Juan Camilo has grown not only in his technical skills but also in his leadership abilities. "Discipline is important, but thinking as a team is too, and I always do," he says.
Today, he leads a team of 18 people, whom he inspired with his latest achievement: winning the Develon Service Competition, which brings together the best technicians in LATAM.
The competition took place in Chile and included several critical stages, such as diagnosing faults induced by the Korean brand's experts, designed to identify the most knowledgeable and talented technician.
The victory was not only personal but also for his entire team. "I always think about my team. I went representing Inchcape, and now the responsibility has grown because I’m not just representing Colombia anymore, but all of the Americas."
Looking ahead, Juan Camilo is preparing to compete in the world final, which will take place in Korea next year. "I still have a few months to train and practise more because we have to aim for the world podium," he expressed with determination.
Best of luck! We know you’ll come back with first place!
