
The year 2023 marked a significant milestone for the Mercedes-AMG sub-brand in Uruguay, achieving the highest delivery volume in the brand's history in the country and solidifying its leadership in the premium sports segment.
The local AMG portfolio ranges from the A 35 4MATIC to the powerful SL 55 4MATIC+. This achievement is further strengthened by the launch of the new C 63 SE Performance, which promises a driving experience beyond what customers are accustomed to.
The unveiling took place very recently at the Mercedes-Benz Uruguay facilities, during an exclusive event for the press and local media, marking a milestone in the history of high-performance automotive in the country.
This hybrid model features technology directly derived from Formula 1: a 2.0-litre turbo hybrid engine (the most powerful series-production 2.0-litre engine in the world), delivering a total of 680 hp and 1,020 Nm of torque.
Additionally, it is equipped with a nine-speed AMG Speedshift MCT gearbox and an AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system with Drift Mode functionality, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reaching an electronically limited top speed of 280 km/h.
Among its standout features are a 2.5-degree rear-axle steering system, adaptive damping, high-performance AMG brakes with composite discs, and extensive equipment that ensures an unparalleled driving experience.
It includes a 6.1 kWh battery designed for rapid energy production and absorption, offering an electric range of 13 km. Additionally, it features an energy regeneration system that optimises the vehicle's efficiency.
