Inchcape spreads its wings at the Bogotá Motor Show in Colombia, with a new vision and new brands

Bogota, October 30, 2024. The 2024 Bogota Motor Show once again attracts the leading brands in the Colombian market, bringing together hundreds of vehicles at Corferias. Inchcape, the largest vehicle distribution group worldwide, presents one of the most comprehensive portfolios in the market for hybrid and electrification options, which will be exhibited in Pavilion 4 of the fairgrounds from November 6 to 17.

GWM (Great Wall Motor) strengthens its presence in Colombia by establishing a new distribution of the brand under the Inchcape group. This collaboration will optimize the distribution network and improve customer service, facilitating access to its innovative products. The brand presents to the public more than 10 models, including the sub-brands ORA, with uniquely retro-designed electric vehicles; Tank, offering hybrid and high-capacity off-road models; Haval, specializing in family SUVs; and Poer, with work-oriented pickups. Notably, 80% of these vehicles will feature some level of hybridization: Haval will offer HEV and plug-in versions, Tank will include plug-in hybrid vehicles, and ORA will launch 100% electric cars.

Suzuki introduces the new generation of its Swift Hybrid, one of the best-selling cars of the last four years, now featuring a more aerodynamic body, a more efficient 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine with lower emissions, and a wide range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), combined with a hybrid system with greater torque, characteristic of the Japanese brand. It also unveils a hybrid version of the family SUV S-Cross, with a 1.4 turbocharged engine, 48V hybrid system, and the same safety package as the new Swift Hybrid, available in both manual and automatic transmission versions.

Subaru showcases its entire portfolio, highlighting the hybrid versions of the Crosstrek and Forester SUVs, as well as its flagship WRX Performance and the recently updated family SUV Outback. The Crosstrek and Forester feature non-plug-in hybrid versions with a widely recognized system that has made the Japanese brand the seventh-largest seller of clean mobility vehicles.

Citroën introduces its major highlight, the Aircross SUV, a compact vehicle based on the C3 platform but with a distinctly family-oriented design, including a 7-passenger version. Additionally, it showcases the Basalt, a coupe SUV with a design similar to traditional cars, expected to arrive in Colombia in the first half of 2025.

Jaguar – Land Rover presents a portfolio entirely featuring various levels of hybridization, from mild hybrids to plug-in hybrids and even 100% electric models like Jaguar's I-Pace. As a highlight, a new version of the Range Rover Evoque with a 200PS mild hybrid engine will be introduced, priced at $299,900,000. Additionally, the 7-passenger Discovery Sport SUV will feature a 250PS mild hybrid engine. In terms of plug-in hybrid engines, the Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover will be available. Finally, the iconic Defender will have a plug-in hybrid version with 404PS, combining Land Rover's 4x4 capability and comfort, priced at $649,900,000.

SERES-DFSK introduces two new models: a facelift of the entry-level electric SERES 3, with an updated design and the same electric capabilities as before, and the new PHEV SUV Seres-DFSK E5, a family vehicle with seven seats, 87 km of electric range, and 1150 km of total range. Additionally, in the commercial vehicle range, a new electric version of the EC35 minivan will be available, with options for cargo and passengers.
