We are delighted to share that Inchcape has been nominated for the prestigious Reuters Automotive D.R.I.V.E Awards in the category of DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Commitment in the automotive industry.

The award recognises projects and initiatives that foster an inclusive and diverse workforce, highlighting innovation, commitment, impact, and leadership within the industry. In this context, Reuters has highlighted several key projects from Inchcape:

  • Global Women into Leadership and Aspire Programmes: Initiatives designed to promote female leadership and professional development, ensuring that more women can advance their careers at all levels of the company. Both programmes aim to increase the percentage of women in leadership positions to 35% by 2026.
  • Inclusive Hiring Programme: Focused on ensuring that hiring decisions are fair and free from bias, while communicating diversity and inclusion priorities to all recruitment partners.
  • Establishment of Global Standards for Maternity and Paternity Leave: Inchcape has implemented global standards to support its employees during this important stage of family life.
  • Introduction of Inchcape Enabled and Launch of Accessibility Analysis: Initiatives that ensure the company is an accessible workplace for everyone.
  • Inclusion and Diversity Campaigns: The company has engaged its employees in meaningful discussions and actions during campaigns such as International Women’s Day, Cultural Diversity Day, and International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The Reuters D.R.I.V.E Awards provide a unique opportunity to showcase the pioneering work of companies in the automotive industry that deserve to be celebrated. “This recognition would not have been possible without the collaboration of our entire team. We deeply appreciate the effort and commitment of each of our colleagues in making Inchcape a truly inclusive place,” commented Karen Blanco, VP of People at Inchcape Americas.

The winners of the Reuters D.R.I.V.E Honors 2024 will be announced on 21 October, both online and at the Automotive USA event in Detroit, MI.
