In line with its commitment to leadership and growth in Latin America, Inchcape announced a change in the management of its operations in Chile.

As of 1 October, Jorge Maldonado, who previously served as Managing Director for the Central America and Caribbean markets, has taken on the role of Managing Director of Inchcape Chile.

Jorge Maldonado joined the Inchcape team in 2016 following the acquisition of Indumotora, where he had worked for over seven years in senior management positions. During his time at Inchcape, he has successfully led various projects, serving as Brand Director for Subaru in Colombia and Peru, and General Manager of Peru for the Subaru, BYD, and DFSK brands. In 2020, he assumed the role of Managing Director of Peru, driving significant operational growth and achieving top rankings in employee experience. In mid-2022, when the acquisition of Derco was announced, he took charge of the Integration Office (OMI) with excellent results.

Jorge Maldonado replaces Cristian Sierra, who successfully led Chile's operations during the integration with Derco. Cristian decided to pursue new professional opportunities, stepping down from his role on 30 September after 16 years with the company, leaving behind a significant legacy.

«I am excited to take on this new challenge leading Inchcape Chile, a key market for the company's growth in the region. My vision is to consolidate Inchcape's leadership in the Chilean automotive industry by enhancing innovation, digitalisation, and sustainable mobility. We will work to strengthen our customers' experience and continue being a strategic partner for the brands we represent, while integrating the learnings from our merger with Derco,» Maldonado commented.

In this way, Inchcape remains committed to innovation and operational excellence, ensuring that its operations in Chile remain robust to consistently meet the expectations of its customers and the market.
