What you’ll do
Lead regional security strategy and execution across APAC to protect our people, assets, operations, and reputation. This role integrates geopolitical insight, threat intelligence, risk management, and crisis response, ensuring compliance with Inchcape security policies while advising leaders and enabling business growth in complex environments.
As the senior security authority for APAC, you will lead a dispersed team, deliver risk-informed security solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders operating amid geopolitical complexity. You will shape regional execution, contribute to global security strategy, and drive cross-functional initiatives that advance enterprise-wide security.
Planning (30%)
• Implement and verify compliance with Inchcape security policies across APAC sites; drive best practices with regional leadership and functions (People, Finance, IT, Legal).
• Build and maintain relationships with law enforcement, government entities, and key security providers; manage intelligence resources.
• Use threat intelligence and a regional network to anticipate risks; conduct recurring local and regional threat/risk assessments.
• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and laws.
Operations (30%)
• Lead risk assessments, physical security plans, SOPs, and emergency protocols for regional projects.
• Communicate security updates and procedures to employees; provide guidance on political risk and business impact.
• Advise on deployment and upkeep of security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms).
• Plan security for major internal and customer events with proportionate mitigation.
• Support journey management and integrate the travel security platform across the region.
Training (20%)
• Design and deliver security awareness, risk mitigation, conflict management, and emergency response training.
• Partner with market managers to embed security ownership and remediation.
• Mentor country security managers and security points of contact; adopt emerging trends and best practices.
Crisis, Incidents, and Investigations (20%)
• Lead or support response, investigation, and remediation of security incidents.
• Advise leadership on travel risk; assist travelers and manage incident response.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and external agencies.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be:
- Extensive APAC security experience with a strong multi-level network.
- Background in corporate security, investigations, risk/security management, law enforcement, military, government security, or a combination.
- Credible advisor to executives; able to operate from tactical through strategic levels.
- Proven success in multicultural, international environments.
- 7+ years in physical security/risk management/law enforcement with people and vendor management, ideally corporate.
- Hands-on with access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with travel security briefings and crisis response.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder influence, and team-building skills.
- Able to travel up to 30% regionally.
