| SUMMARY | 
| The Generator Diesel Mechanic performs diagnoses, repairs, services, and modification work within OEM specification, etc. on Diesel and Gas-powered generator equipment as required.   Work may be completed in the workshop or at the customer’s work site, as required.      | 
| ESSENTIAL DUTIES | 
| Workshop and on-site diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repairs of Diesel and Gas-powered Generators.Determine the extent of needed repair; inspect old parts to determine the cause of mechanical failure and determine parts neededOverhaul, repair, troubleshoot, controllers, electrical boards, gen-alternator ends, computerized and electronic ignition systems, and engines.Diagnose & repair electronically controlled devices on power shovels and other heavy equipmentUse a wide variety of test equipment and shop toolsOverhaul exhaust systems, and repair exhaust after treatment systems if applicable Make emergency repairs in the fieldPerform routine maintenance and servicing of generator and trailer if applicable.Complete work-orders and time cards dailyComplete jobs in accordance with the quoted labor hourMaintain workshop in a clean, organized, and safe manner. Also if assigned Service truck same term apply.Properly maintain company tool inventoryProvide excellent customer service to clients

| QUALIFICATIONS | 
| Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying, unless otherwise specified.  Typical ways to obtain these knowledge and abilities include the following: EducationTechnical or trade school certification in mechanical services or related instruction
ExperienceTwo to Three years’ experience in the maintenance and servicing of Generators, includes Controller/gen-alternator/engine repair work or formal training in Controller/gen-alternator/ engine repairs.
LicensurePossession of a valid driver’s licenseAbility to obtain DBIDS/Rapid Gate base access
Tools of the TradeIncumbents must provide the basic required tools upon employment and any additional required tools within twelve months of employment.  The Company will provide basic heavy equipment workshop tools as deemed necessary by management
