Wholesale Manager – Automotive

Location: Norwest, NSW
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Wholesale Manager to lead and expand our automotive wholesale operations. This role is responsible for managing wholesale function across Inchcape ensuring the retail network has the right stock mix of marketable used vehicles and to develop strong partnerships with auction partners and dealerships’

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end wholesale function, including vehicle sourcing, pricing, and disposal strategies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a network of dealers, wholesalers, and auction houses
  • Monitor market trends to optimise stock turnover and profitability
  • Oversee vehicle valuations and ensure competitive and accurate pricing
  • Lead a team of buyers and Wholesale Valuers to consistently provide friendly, helpful, and accurate customer service and guidance to internal and external customers.
  • Analyse performance metrics and prepare regular reporting on wholesale activity
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, finance, operations) to align inventory strategies

About You

  • Proven experience in a Wholesale Manager, Used Car Manager, or Automotive Sales Manager role
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive wholesale market, pricing trends, and remarketing strategies
  • Drive a culture of accountability within the team, ensuring clear ownership of targets, performance outcomes, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Commercially astute with a results-driven mindset
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
