Our LDV and KGM Aftersales team is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our team in Christchurch. In this position you will collaborate with a dynamic, diverse team to deliver exceptional service and repairs, bringing your expertise and passion for quality to drive your career forward.
What you’ll do
- Carry out in depth diagnoses on a range of vehicle and system faults using OEM methods, tooling and schematic’s, document and report.
- Perform warranty and routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers for outside-of-normal servicing requirements.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to solve complex issues and provide high-quality solutions.
- Ensure all work aligns with manufacturer repair guidelines and Inchcape standards.
- Conduct quality checks, road testing, and complete vehicle servicing logbooks accurately.
About you to be successful in this role you will be:
- Minimum of 2 years' post-apprenticeship experience in a fast-paced workshop with strong diagnostic capability.
- Current Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate (WOF authority is required or wiiling to obtain one)
- • A proactive problem solver with a strong focus on diagnosing and resolving complex issue.
- • Holding a valid driver’s license and be able to drive automatic and manual
