Sarah Charlesworth, Group Head of Inclusion & Diversity

This month, our learning and development partner Hive Learning announced their list of the Most Influential DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) Leaders in EMEA for 2022. We are delighted that our own Sarah Charlesworth, Group Head of I&D, has been recognised and nominated in the top 75, alongside inclusion and diversity-focused peers from among some of the world’s best known brands and businesses. You can read more about that here.

Since joining the Group in 2021, Sarah has collaborated with colleagues across the world to build and roll out our I&D strategy, with the objectives of Inchcape becoming a leader in inclusion as well as both improving and celebrating our diversity.

Sarah’s citation reads as follows:

Sarah Charlesworth is the Group Head of Inclusion and Diversity at Inchcape plc, the British multinational automotive distribution, retail and services company. Since joining Inchcape in 2021, Charlesworth has been a driving force for the company’s I&D strategy which is core to the company’s business strategy ‘Accelerate.’ Charlesworth talks about the need to have the very best people and the diversity of thought for future success.

Sarah emphasises the importance of I&D for overarching success of a business and is fervently working to demystify the automotive industry and demonstrating that they are a company that everyone can thrive in. Hive Learning has been working with Inchcape over many years now, scaling effective behaviour change amongst teams and furthering its innovative DEI strategy and framework alongside working with Sarah, who projects an inspiring Inclusion mindset throughout the company making her an influential DEI thought leader. We’re currently rolling out a Global Inclusive Leadership blended programme to Inchcape’s senior leaders, increasing their awareness of the importance of Inclusion, and driving more inclusive leadership behaviours.

Congratulations to Sarah for this recognition of excellence in her field!
