Developing our female leaders

In 2021, to support the advancement of Inclusion & Diversity at Inchcape, we launched our Women into Leadership programme.

The pilot programme, a mix of one-to-one coaching and group sessions ran over six months, was created to develop and accelerate female colleagues through the organisation and into leadership roles. The Women into Leadership programme was designed to help participants develop the skills they need to fast track their career – from modules on building confidence, personal branding and networking, through to improving resilience and vitality.

We realise we must improve gender diversity across the organisation if we are going to fulfil our potential and deliver our Accelerate strategy.

In its first year, female colleagues from all Inchcape regions participated in the development programme and we had great feedback.

“It was a great course – thought provoking with very relatable real-life experiences and the speakers were inspiring and motivating. I think I learned more about myself and gathered better understanding of the people around me,” said Serena Wong, Senior Manager, Inchcape Singapore.

“This has helped increase my confidence to lead and impact positive change by taking a fresh look at things,” Serena concluded.

“We will continue to run our Women into Leadership programme this year and we expect to see great results and our female leaders progressing to more senior roles in the business,” Marie said.
