Our ambition is for Inchcape to become the undisputed number one distribution partner of choice for automotive manufacturers, many of which are looking for regional consolidation in their partnerships.

Our focus on building and maintaining close and long-standing OEM partnerships provides the foundation for Inchcape’s ability to deliver growth through acquisition.

Inchcape is a proven consolidator in a fragmented marketplace. In 2016 we embarked on a new strategy of expansion where we have focused on the development of our unique ‘plug and play’ distribution platform – this has resulted in delivering both scale acquisitions and important bolt-on deals.

Key factors in achieving this objective include:

  • our track record of successful integration
  • investment in technology and digital capabilities that can be deployed at scale
  • our people’s capabilities and approach to retaining key management, and
  • the firepower we have available to execute deals through a strong balance sheet and disciplined approach to capital allocation.

We have developed framework for Mergers & Acquisitions that underpins our decision-making process and this is built around three criteria – Strategic, Financial and Organisational – that we use for each new opportunity.
