Kym Mellow Franchise Director, bravoauto

Joining Inchcape in September 2023 as Franchise Director, bravoauto, Kym is responsible for leading the bravoauto business in delivering on our commitment to exceeding our customer’s expectations by offering them more choice, more value, and more support through an integrated, omni-channel approach that sets bravoauto apart.

Kym commenced his career in the industry as a Graduate, enabling him to build a strong foundation and holistic understanding of the retail environment across sales, service, parts, stock control and vehicle valuations, before progressing as a Sales Consultant and later, Sales Manager. With over two decades of automotive experience, Kym spent 17 years at Mazda Australia, including as a member of the Executive team for over 13 years. His various roles included National Manager – Customer Support, Vehicle Operations and Ultimate Customer Experience, State Manager (Victoria) and Dealer Business Manager for South Australia and Tasmania.

With a career dedicated to supporting the varied mobility needs of Australian consumers, Kym has developed a customer-centric approach to delivering positive business outcomes in a collaborative team environment, with a passion for fostering an inclusive, diverse and equitable workplace culture, and supporting teams with their ongoing learning and development. As a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Kym holds a firm belief that governance, risk management, and strategic decision-making, along with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, have the power to positively shape organisations and communities.

Originally from Adelaide, Kym now resides in Melbourne with his wife, two children and Cavoodle puppy, Bee. Outside work, Kym is actively involved in the sporting community as a volunteer for Surf Lifesaving, an enthusiastic fan of AFL and a permanent fixture at his children’s sporting events. Beyond sports, Kym enjoys immersing himself in a good book and takes pride in mentoring students at RMIT University.
