Aspire helps drive our people-focused route to market

At Inchcape, it’s our people that make the difference in accelerating a sustainable and long-lasting mobility transition. To support our colleagues, we provide equitable opportunities that strengthen our talent while building an inclusive, high-performing culture where colleagues are set up to realise their potential.

Aspire, a new global development programme launched in 2024, is designed to equip female colleagues earlier in their careers with the skills, knowledge and support to fast-track their growth. Last year, over 150 women from all regions and business areas participated in workshops, structured sessions and heard from inspirational speakers as part of the Aspire programme. The experience helped participants build skills while establishing an international peer support network, reinforcing our commitment to inclusion and professional development from within.

Crucially, Aspire aligns with our goal to increase female representation in senior leadership roles by supporting a pipeline of strong talent and embedding diversity into our succession planning. In 2024, 28% of senior leadership positions were held by women, up from 26% in 2023, and on track to meet our 30% target in 2025. As the programme expands, future metrics will ensure we track KPIs around gender diversity across our workforce to identify barriers and measure progress.

The Aspire programme enabled me to realise that the challenges I faced were valid and that I was not alone, while connecting with women from various markets broadened my perspective and professional network. The practical wellness techniques were especially valuable, giving me tools to navigate my career with greater confidence and balance.

The impact of Aspire goes beyond skills – it’s about transforming perspective. Through the Aspire programme, Inchcape is investing in its people and their potential – creating a more empowered workforce and a more diverse leadership team as we transform tomorrow, together.
