Wallis Dumper Managing Director, Inchcape New Zealand Subaru of New Zealand
Wallis returned to Subaru of New Zealand in the role of Managing Director in 2010, having previously been the business leader between 1996 and 2006. During his time away from Subaru, Wallis was the CEO of a private ownership operation in New Zealand working with the Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo and Renault brands. Prior to Subaru he emerged from leadership roles in automotive parts brands and service and motorcycle brand marketing and distribution for New Zealand.
In July 2023, Wallis was appointed to the role of Managing Director, Inchcape New Zealand and Subaru of New Zealand, assuming responsibility for the market’s expanded operations following Inchcape’s entrance into retail and appointment as the importer and distributor of LDV and SsangYong vehicles in the New Zealand market.
In his spare time, Wallis enjoys sunny Sunday bike rides, getting involved in motorsport and, in his younger years, was a competitive production motorcycle racer, winning the prestigious Manfield endurance race in 1982. A true Kiwi, Wallis and his wife Dianne escape to the tranquillity of their seaside holiday home out of Auckland whenever possible to share quality time with family (two adult children) and friends, including beach walks with Lulu, their faithful British Bulldog
